Breaking News / MOJO393

For those of you my age and older, I think this card will especially appeal to you.  I absolutely had to have this die and coordinating stamp set from My Favorite Things as it brought back so many memories of sitting on the floor in front of the t.v. with my brother, watching Gilligan's Island or I Dream of Jeanie!

I based this card on this week's MOJO Monday challenge:
Here's what I came up with:
And the inside:
The retro papers are from a retired SEI collection.  When I was paper scrapping, I used to use a lot of their papers and loved their kits.

I don't know where I got the Great Dane stamp, and it's not marked with a manufacturer.  I think I may have found it on eBay.  The yellow card stock is from Stampin' Up!

Mr. & Mrs.

Yay!!  My blog has just had over 10,000 views!!  Thank you, everybody!!  I love doing this and I hope you like the projects that I post.

It's wedding season, and a new gal at work is getting married next week.  I put this together for her:
It was pretty simple!  Just one stamp (from Stampin' Up!) plus some spiffy papers and dies.  The bow was made with Stampin' Up!'s bow die and the other dies are from My Favorite Things.  The scripty paper is from Basic Grey's Scarlett Letter -- an oldie but goodie collection!!

Thanks a lot for clicking over here!  Hope you find some time to craft today!

Scribbled Thank You

Hi, how are you today?

I made a lot of different cards over the weekend, and this was one of the easiest!  It uses the Scribbles die set and coordinating stamp set from My Favorite Things.  The papers, inks and "thank you" message stamp are all from Stampin' Up!

Rolled Rose

As I promised yesterday, here is the card I made using the rolled rose die from My Favorite Things!
Makes a pretty accent, don't you think?

The stamp, inks and card stock are from Stampin' Up!, and the gorgeous flower background paper is from Bo Bunny.  The rose is made out of cheap, ordinary felt.

Thanks for clicking on over!  Hope you can find some time to create today!

Get Well Soon / Loopy Flower Die

A few weeks ago, My Favorite Things (MFT) had a sale on their flower dies, so of course I took advantage to get a few!  It wasn't until this weekend, though, that I really had time to play with them.  Today I'm posting a card made with the Loopy Flower Die.  So easy and so cute!!
I used ordinary felt from Michael's for the flower.  All the dies I used are from My Favorite Things, the papers are all from Stampin' Up!, and honestly, I don't know where that stamp came from!

Thanks for clicking by.  Check back tomorrow for another sample of a rose made with an MFT rolled flower die!

And yay, it's finally Spring!!

Joy Ride

Sometimes making a masculine card can be challenge, as lets face it, most card-making products have a feminine look to them.  But!  My Favorite Things comes to the rescue with this adorable die set called Joy Ride. I work for the National Automobile Dealers Association, so this was perfect for my boss, whose birthday is today!
The clouds and trees are from Elizabeth Crafts, and I honestly don't remember where I got the stitched valley dies from.  All papers are from Stampin' Up!

Thanks for clicking by -- hope you get a chance to do some creating today!

Best,
Denise

Happy Easter!

Greetings!  I'm just loving these images of a little girl from the Pure Innocence Line at My Favorite Things.  She is so cute, and easy to color, which is important to me!  When I saw this stamp set called One of My Favorite Peeps, I put it in my shopping cart immediately!
In case you're interested, here is the inside:
The papers, alcohol markers and embellishments I used are from Stampin' Up!  I used black Memento Ink for the stamping.

My First Stamp Set Ever...Hello Spring from 1997!

Greetings!

A couple of weeks ago, I saw a cute bonnet on Pinterest that I just had to CASE (copy and share everything)!  I wanted to make them for the women in my office, and since I wasn't sure if they all observed Easter or not, I needed a different message.

I started sorting through my stamp sets looking for something appropriate.  Now, I've had hundreds of stamps since I started stamping back in 1997.  Over time I've sold a lot of them, but some I keep.  I kept "Hello Spring" because it was the first ever stamp set I bought, and because it's still so darn cute:

If you look close, you can see they're dated 1997!  They're also still in the old box that Stampin' Up! used to put their stamps sets in, and it was back in the day when you had to trim your own stamps, proof of which can be seen in this picture:
LOL!  Glad those days are gone!

Anyway, I thought the "hello spring" stamp would be perfect for this project, so here's what I did:

Here's a close up:

Kinda cute, huh?  My colleagues seemed to really like them, and that was my hope.

The best part about making these, was that after they were all put together and gathered into the box for a picture, my 17 year old son, who has autism, looked at them and said "Pretty!"  Awwww!  That was worth every moment I spent working on them!

All the products except the stitched circle die are from Stampin' Up!  The stitched circle die is from My Favorite Things.

Have a wonderful day!

Best,
Denise

Each New Day Brings Hope

Tulips are my favorite flowers.  They are just so gorgeous!!  My Favorite Things released a beautiful set featuring tulips with lovely messages.  They also have a matching die set!  They were sold out on-line, but luckily my favorite local stamp store, A Happy Stamper, had them in stock!
All the papers (and inks) used in this card are from Stampin' Up! except the watercolor background, which I actually found at Michael's!  The shapes and stamps are all dies from My Favorite Things, and I also used a My Favorite Things card sketch to design the card.

Thank you for clicking by!

Enjoy your weekend,
Denise

April Card of the Month!

No kidding, this stamp of a balloon animal is one of my most favorite stamps ever, and even has a coordinating die to boot!  Earlier this month I picked it up again to play with, and I decided to make the new card using it my April Card of the Month.
To see what the inside message is and for ordering info, check out my Card of the Month page!

Happy Spring!!
